Dirt River Radio (aka The Dirties) are a 6 piece band from Melbourne Australia known for heartfelt Australian rock ballads cranked with Rock-a-Billy swagger, Gypsy Romps, Celtic sea shanties and smoldering dirty Soul.

With a line-up of two guitars, bass, drums and the magnificent `Dirtettes’ on backing vocals, The Dirties have evolved from humble St Kilda beginnings into a world travelling rock n roll outfit.

Founding members and main stays Alex Raunjak (Electric Mary/Bugdust) and Heath Brady (Couchgrinder) have been reunited with bass player extraordinaire Ant Casey (Tenpenny Joke) alongside `The Dirtettes’ on backing vocals (Kelly Fernando-Bird and Sarah Fagan) and drumming duties delivered by Matt Bray (Jericco/K-Oscillate/28-Days).

Their stand out song “All my Friends” is a regular track on radio playlists around the globe notching a tidy 25,000+ views on YouTube and inspiring many a crowd chorus at gigs.  A triumphant ode to friendship, this song affects listeners deeply and frequently finds itself appearing at both weddings and funerals.

The Dirt River Radio troubadours have returned from their second tour of Europe (2016) and have shared the stage w Jim Ward (At The Drive In), Carlos Santana and Chris Isaak among many others.  Festivals are lining up to get `The Dirties’ on the bill for their reliable delivery of St Kilda flavoured, gang mentality rock‘n’roll to win over the audience.

Third album “Sun City White” is set for release in April 2017 with a raft of new songs exploring issues spanning personal demons to the plight of humanity.

A classic Dirt River Radio sound that delivers a swag of heartfelt tunes and at times brutal snapshots of reality.

This is an 18+ event.
